Cathy Lovell Lambert

Big Stone Gap, Virginia On the morning of August 19, 2021, Cathy Lovell Lambert, 68, was sleeping and awoke in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a member of Imboden Community Church and also attended New Hope Church. Cathy had many creative talents, one of which was decorating cakes, which she did for many years in our area. She worked with adults with disabilities for most of her career, the last years working with foster children. She was well respected and loved by the families she worked with. Most of all, Cathy was loved by her family. She was a gift to her husband, children and grandchildren and a special blessing to so many, and will be missed greatly. Her family is comforted knowing she is now healthy and whole in her heavenly home, reunited with her sister, Diania. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Helen Lovell; special sister & best friend, Diania L. Barnett; Brothers & sister, Steve Lovell, Tim Lovell, and Liesa Gilley; father & mother-in-law: Forrest & Daisy Lambert; brothers & sister-in-law, Delbert Lambert, Sidney & Lorraine Lambert, Ellis Lambert, and Stella & Jack Humbert, Kermit Clark Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 50 years, C.O. Lambert; son, Charles & Alice Lambert; daughter, Katie & Rick Phillips; Junior & Channie Franklin; grandchildren, Daniel Franklin, Woody Franklin, Hannah and husband, C.J. Barrier, Sarah, Caleb and Samuel Phillips; special Aunt, Shirley Spears; brothers, Keith (Bobby Jo) Lovell, Henry Lovell; sisters, Jackie (Frank) Bowman, Teresa Williams, Janet (Claude) Williams, Louise Barnett; brothers & sisters-in-law, Forrest (Margaret) Lambert, Robena Clark, Maurine Dennison, Rue ((Bill) Gembach, Opal (Ross) Clark, Lorrine (Alan) Wells; special Friend, Jerri Horton; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family will receive friends at the Roy A. Green Funeral Home, Appalachia, Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 10 am to 12 noon with services beginning at noon in the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Tony Nunley. Burial will follow at the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
