Beulah Lorene Flanary Moore

Appalachia, Virginia Proverbs 31: 25-28 Beulah Lorene Flanary Moore, 89, entered into eternal life with Jesus on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Holston Valley Hospital with her loving family by her side. She was a lifelong resident of Inman and Appalachia, VA. She will always be remembered for her Christian life and the love that she showed for her family, friends and everyone she met. Jesus was the center of her life. She was saved at the age of 17 and was a member of the church since the early 1950’s. Beulah was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice “Mo” Moore; father and mother, Harvey Logan and Mary Almeadie Flanary; five brothers Noah, Mark, Allen, William and Harvey (Junior) Flanary; four sisters Cordie Collier, Ordie Morris, Clercie Breeding, Georgia Brown and a loving son-in-law, Don Bush. She was the last surviving member of her family. She is survived by her two sons Roy and wife Teresa of Lawrenceville, GA and Ray and wife Sheryl of Big Stone Gap, VA; three daughters Linda Brown and husband Billy of Mineral, VA, Doris Bush of Kingsport, TN and Susan Barnette (with whom she made her home for the last 18 years) and husband Mike of Appalachia, VA; a special sister-in-law Mary Flanary; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; 2 great, great grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews. Heartfelt thanks to caregiver Carrie Wells, long-time physician Arthur Boyd and nurse Barb and Dr. Starr and the staff at HVMC. The family will receive friends at the First Apostolic Church between 4:00 and 7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 11th and funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor Johnny Flanary officiating. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, February 12th at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Roy A. Green Funeral Home to go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory to the First Apostolic Church, 403 Callahan Ave, Appalachia, VA 24216. Roy A. Green Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Beulah Moore.
