Big Stone Gap, Virginia Thelma Lee Collins, 70, of Big Stone Gap passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Lonesome Pine Hospital. She was a member of the Appalachia Pentecostal Church and loved to attend the Spirit and Truth Worship Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Collins, Sr. and daughter Rhonda. She is survived by daughter, Donna Cross and husband Willie; 2 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ralph Stidham and wife Eva of Hendersonville, NC, Wanda “Tootsie” Rich of Big Stone Gap, Ann Hale and husband Bob of Norton, Lois Mullins of Norton; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Appalachia Pentecostal Church on Thursday, December 6, 2012. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. with Rev. Roy Smith, Rev. Kenneth Sturgill, and Rev. Chester Lamb. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Big Stone Gap, VA.
