Appalachia, Virginia James David Parsons, 69, of Appalachia, VA received his eternal reward on Saturday, June 4th, 2022, from his home with his loving family by his side. To welcome James into Glory was his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, followed by his loving wife of 35 years, Mary Parsons, along with his parents, Joseph Burley Parsons and Faye Lorene Parsons; his sisters, Ginny Pearl Parsons and Snooky Parsons Boggs; his brothers, Mark, Steve and Tex Parsons, along with his fur baby, Chief. James leaves behind to celebrate his reward into heaven, his daughter, Virginia Beverly and husband, Billy of Pound, VA; son, James David Lee Parsons of San Fernando, CA; grandchildren, Aidan Cole Beverly and Ethan Parsons; sisters, Peggy Lambert, Liz Stidham, Louella Sizemore, Janice Parsons, Lona Grubb all of Appalachia, VA. Several dearly loved nieces and nephews; special friends, Dave Kaylor and Matthew Wells. The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the Roy A. Green Funeral Home from 11 am to 12 noon with services following in the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. David Rose. Burial will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery, Coeburn, VA. The family would like to thank Lifecare Ambulance Service for the transports to and from Dr. appointments, along with the nurses and staff of MSHA Home Health and Hospice for the care they provided during his illness.
